Llyn Geirionydd days
One of the recreational trips we normally do 2 or 3 times a year is to have a day at Llyn Geiryonnydd, a natural lake up in the mountains about 12 miles away near Betws y coed.

The lake is set in some stunning scenery, and it gives people an opportunity to try out the wobbly boats in clean fresh water and see how they get on. Most people are surprised how well they do. The club also has an old windsurfer which we bring up for club members to use.

We usually have a lunchtime barbeque, and members bring their food, and have a generally great time.

For the competitive types there is also an accurately measured 500m course on the lake, and as long as you get there before the waterskiers have set up too many washes, you can get an officially recorded 500m time.
